Still great after 20 years!
Just watched Dirty Dancing for about the hundredth time, still really cheesy and sad but I love it! Nobody puts Baby in the corner you know.Had a nice meal out for lunch today for my dad's belated birthday meal (postponed from last night for obvious reasons) - apparently the place we went to is going to be on the next series of Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares which should be interesting, the food was excellent and very reasonably priced, so would like to see what it was like before. I will watch out for it in the next series and no doubt let you know.
Got a nice pair of shoes in town today as well, I'd gone in to collect the rest of my holiday photos from the summer (took too many to print out in one go), and got waylaid in Debenhams where I got a bargain pair of boots reduced from £99 to £37. Ok, I said shoes originally, but I meant boots. They are ankle boots but the term ankle boots always makes me think of nasty footwear, and these are really nice. Really need to stop spending money though, as over lunch today my mum and I came up with the idea of a pre-Xmas trip to New York as she's retiring next month and I have some leave to use up and have never been there at this time of year, I've always wanted to go skating in front of the Rockefeller Centre and other such tourist rubbish, and with the pound being so strong, it would be a good place to get some of the shopping in. So I will ask at work next week if there are any times when I can take a few days off, and take it from there. Sod the money, isn't it what credit cards are for?
(I wasn't going to mention the rugby, but in my view it definitely should have been a try and so who knows what the proper final score might have been...?)

I did actually think of you the other night when I saw that awful film was on.
Especially as a friend from work has just come back from the US and been to that hotel/grange place (yes, you can stay there).
Pictures of the ankle boots please.
Also, the eBay details so that we can all bid.
