Hannah's daily gubbins

Ladies and Gentlemen of the internet, enjoy my blog. If I could offer you only one tip for future happiness, dailygubbins would be it. The long-term benefits of reading my blog have been proved by doctors (ie, me), whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experience. I will commence this advice now...

Hot hot hot!

I've still got my cold, so in an attempt to clear my nose tonight I ate four of these things. That's my chilli bush on the patio, obviously, I think the frost has kind of killed it off as all the leaves are shrivelling up, so tomorrow I'll pick everything that is left and freeze them. Anyway, they are bloody hot, and apart from my mouth being on fire for about half an hour afterwards, I think they might have done the trick.

Haven't done much today, apart from shopping. Seeing as how I hadn't managed to find anything the first time I ventured into the sales, I made up for it yesterday by getting some new work clothes and spending over a hundred quid on underwear - bloody expensive but I reckon I've saved lots of money becuase had I gone to Rigby and Peller I'd have spend about 4 times that to get the same amount of stuff. Went shopping again today and had a look at what's on for New Year, we've decided to play it by ear as don't want to get tickets for somewhere that ends up being crap or filled with tossers. No point in expecting anything wonderful either as it's always a big let-down! Must be getting old... Was looking back to seven (SEVEN!) years ago when I was doing my elective down under, and found the website of the place I spent Millennium night in, has been pimped up a bit since we were there in that it now seems to have a pool and electricity but it was a superb place to spend the week, although our millennium fireworks weren't anywhere near as good as what people had elsewhere. Maybe tomorrow I'll dig out my diary and recount a Fijian New Year just in case anyone wants some escapism from the rubbish weather we're having here.
