Out of Africa

Very quick blog today and this is probably the only one I'll do all holiday as the internet access is pretty patchy! Anyway, having a great time, have travelled through Kenya and Uganda and tomorrow we leave for Rwanda to see the gorillas at the end of the week. Done loads, seen lots of animals, and am thankful for our one free day today where we are relaxing next to Lake Bunyoni, am off for a swim in a minute. Had a hairy time when we went white-water rafting on the Nile on saturday with our raft capsizing in a grade 5 rapids giving us a near-drowning experience, but we were all ok and they had enough safety boats out that we'd have been ok even if we hadn't managed to get back on! Having some very early mornings and we are all showering less frequently, only one more night camping though as from tomorrow we are in hotels for the last 3 nights - can't wait!

Anyway that's all for now as this keyboard is really sticky and I would rather be out in the sun - no offence! See you all when I'm back on sunday...

Off to Africa!

Time for a quick update, but only just, as I am currently packing ready for flying off to Kenya tonight! Will be off for 2 weeks on a camping safari thing, ended up in Rwanda to see the mountain gorillas - sounds great and I can't wait!

Not sure whether I'll be able to update the blog while I'm away, but I will try to do so if there is easy internet access as I've done on holidays before. So watch this space!

Have to go and pack now as leaving in a couple of hours and have piles of clothes all over the bed. See you all when I get back!

Oh, and in answer to Nic's question of a few weeks back, the piano did eventually arrive on the third day I had been sitting around waiting for it, and it is now all assembled and lovely. Had to get a new TV too though as there was no room for the old one so I now have a nice wall-mounted flat one, that is just the right size and not so big that it is chavvy. Or at least, I like to think so...
